Comment:

I made this mix for two people who weren't very familiar with weezer's music. notice I steered clear of Hash Pipe, Buddy Holly and Island In The Sun. the majority of the songs are from Pinkerton. while I only have the four albums, I feel like this is pretty damn good. let's hope the two people I'm sending it to feel the same. hell, I'll probably copy it for myself.

where's tired of sex? where's tired of sexxxxx???? "you gave your love to me softly" would fit in nicely...

I do love the mix...but since it did come up, I must say Tired of Sex would be great...one of my fav solos of all time!

Perhaps "Tired Of Sex" could make the Advanced Guide to Weezer... As always another great mix nonetheless.

I'll fifth the motion that Tired of Sex should've been on here. But at least you've got Across the Sea (my fave from Pinkerton). Nicely done

I'd nix "Glorious Day" and "Smile"...very pedestrian, in my opinion. And my absolute favorite off "Pinkerton" is missing: "No Other One." I also concur that "Tired Of Sex" would have made a cool addition...though let's be honest--on the other hand it might be a bit off-putting for a newcomer. And let me tell you...you've got brass ones leading off with "Getchoo." Also, I'd work in some b-sides..."You Gave Your Love To Me Softly" is essential, IMHO, and "Susanne" is also up there.

BTW: I don't have any philophical problems with any of their singles, including Hash Pipe, Buddy Holly or Island In the Sun, and feel they'd make a good addition (certainly better than a lot of other green album or Maladroit stuff). Also, hope it doesn't look like I'm picking on you. I apologize if it does. I just find this mix intirguing as I'm trying to come up with my own primer for a friend right now.

I could never leave out Buddy Holly, a sure classic Weezer song. Good mix though.

After browsing through dozens of your mixes, this is my favorite. I bow to you the Queen of AOTM in all your mixing glory. This mix accomplished what I never could. I made it for a friend of mine who never liked weezer, and after giving it a listen, they grudgingly admitted to appreciating them. FINALLY!!! This mix is perfect, I don't mean to go on and on, but I am blown away. Please, Please, Please trade with me!
