Finally, the 80-minute Cash mix that I've been promising folks for more than a year... this is apparently what happens while you're laid up recovering from sinus surgery (48 hours of little sleep and lots of blood) for days at a time? This took the better part of the day, but I think it's worth it (there's honestly nothing I would change) and I think I'll be listening to it constantly for the next week. I'm not even going to bother saying anything about how great a figure I think this man is... his voice speaks for itself. Thanks to lo-fi for "Don't Think Twice, It's Alright".

No shit, man, this is so great. :) Best driving music ever invented. Funny story to help you through your pain: yesterday at my part-time record store job two very intimidating bikers sauntered in -- long ponytails, leather jackets, chains, sunglasses, a few days worth of stubble etc. When one of them started perusing the box sets I started rhapsodizing about the Love/God/Murder package -- he sort of looked at me askance, flipped up the glasses and glared down at it before breaking into a very sincere grin and saying 'Ring of Fire?? I LOVE that song!' I mentioned some of the other songs included but it may have been the temporary tattoos ('Oh no way, really? You've gotta be shitting me.') that sealed the deal. That was pretty long but I hope you enjoyed it, nice mix either way.

i've had a little bit of johnny cash overload at the moment, i've been milking with my father who's a big johnny cash fan, instead of luke (unmusical mind who said he preferred the sound of pulsators to the kinks!) anyway, this one looks very nice rob, very nice indeed. i hope your sinuses are feeling better soon!

fantastic stuff, rob. as i had similar surgery one year ago (tonsils - as an adult it's much worse than when you're a kid), i know how you must feel. good luck with the recovery.

I can't imagine picking only 80 minutes of Johnny Cash, but this is a valiant effort. Great cuts, every one.

Great mix....., and a daunting task to cull an 80-minute representation from a year's worth of recorded material. "Jackson" flat out rocks!!! Woe be the man who doesn't give it to "the Man!" (in black...)

I can't believe I'm the first wench to bemoan what you left off but...
No "Big River"!?
No "Ruby Falls".
That makes me sad.

You should include that Rolling Stone article from a few years back in the liner notes. Cash's initials are not a coincidence.
