Side A's another long, strange trip, from Ian's machine gun spoken intro through the graveyard with recently departed Lord Sutch, some strange and wonderful sax honkers, completely objectionable cha cha, neo-surf into a bit of mopery into sharp-edged modern pop, settling into vocal groups from L.A. and Soweto. B Side's cover run doubles up on the Bee Gees, Stevie Wonder and Cream; Ella/Frank prove notably clueless, Dwight goes Vegas and Dino never left; and the tape isn't over till the fat ladies sing -- both of them. (don't miss louis prima desecrating puccini.) in other words, the usual, only more so. avanti!
