Comment:
Mix of my favorite songs from the band that I listened to the most last year. My strong appreciation for their first album should be pretty evident, although it obviously doesn't end there... I wish I could have been more than five years old when Bob Stinson was booted from the band and they began their descent from greatness, especially after reading that Bob put on his craziest show right here in San Diego.Feedback:
Great stuff.
The Replacements are pretty much the best band ever...End of story...This is pretty much the best Replacements mix ever...And I'm not just gettin' all crawly bum-lick with ya...It's a beautiful thing...
no question. They are my favorite band of all time. ALL TIME. Paul Westerberg is one of the greastest songwirters of all time. I'm glad I got to meet him.
Nice mix, Nick. Their best period, for sure.
Great mix! I actually attended two Replacements shows in San Diego, both at the Backdoor on the campus of SDSU. The whole band was totally drunk during the first one. Lots of covers and incomplete songs, and Bob was nude by the end of the show. They were all pretty sober the second time I saw them. They sounded much better, but obviously the first show was much more memorable!
It is a formidable task to make a Mats mix. It's impossible to feel like you aren't leaving something off, lilke "Here Comes a Regular" or "Favorite Thing." But you gotta make choices, and I appreciate you sticking by your love of the early stuff.
