Comment:

A Gram Parsons comp made for the mighty Greaseball. Rob put together a fine mix a while back, but I figured that AOTM could never have enough Gram comps. These are among my favorite vocal performances in popular music, which may explain the inclusion of a dubious cover here and there (at the expense of an original tune). "Chores to keep me busy, a clock to keep my time, a pretty girl to love me with the same last name as mine." I know it sounds a bit corny on the surface, but few songs can make you as happy to be married. Think of this as a companion piece to Rob's Gene Clark mix. It boggles my mind how anyone could listen to modern rock after hearing this kind of genius.

This is great, Sean. I have the Burritos and Byrds stuff, but I don't have much of his solo output. This mix might be a good place to start. well done.

Wow. Really, really nice compilation. I think I need one for myself and one for my best friend in Austria... she'd flip over this!

Looks great, Clem... definitely in the same ballpark as mine ("I remember the oak tree that we used to climb"). Gram really is a personal god of mine, no matter how cliched that might be.

Sean -- This looks awesome!
I wish I had more of the Parsons-era Byrds stuff. Sweetheart of the Rodeo will have to be my next purchase.
Viva Gram Parsons!!!
