Comment:
DISC TWOThis is actually the first two disc set I've really completed. These cds were made especially to trade with Caleb. Because it is a two disc set it gave me the opportunity to feature more than one song from an artist or band (I don't like putting more than one song by an artist or band on a single disc). The Innocence Mission, The Velvet Underground, Mazzy Star, Patti Smith, and Kristin Hersh were all featured twice. Somehow I went a little cover crazy using The Get Up Kid's cover of Suffragette City (originally by Bowie), Tori Amos's Happiness is a Warm Gun (The Beatles), Dinosaur Jr.'s cover of The Cure's Just Like Heaven, The Pixies' Wild Honey Pie (another Beatles cover), and Joan Osborne's cover of the Bob Dylan song The Man in the Long Black Coat. The title of the cd was taken from the Hang-Ups' song Jump Start. The only song from local band I ended up using was the Geisert 8 Band's My Favorite Pillow.
