Comment:
ok, so I made this one revolving around the Rolling Stones "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction". I had 5 very disparate versions of Satisfaction [french ye ye girl group, heavy sweat R&B, 10 minute hippie psych jam, mouth breathing punk riff, & sparse, melancholy folk) that I used to attach (in my opinion) a pretty wide variety of songs (some not so obviously) hitting on the same ethos of "Satisfaction". So this one was done in 5 separate chunks, and everytime "Satisfaction" appears consider it the equivalent of yelling "goose!" and forcing a direction change. Plus I get a kick out of trying to put Diana Ross + Slayer on the same unifying mix. Rocket From The Tombs appears twice because their version is only :19 seconds, and really only a statement of the riff...which works doubly well on this. I originally made this for Rob Conroy and his requesting Eddie Bo's "Check Your Bucket". It's yours for the taking, but I understand if you pass.Feedback:
Looks like it "has legs!" He should take it..., without a blink. Good job Lakespeed!
Very clever concept! How else can you rationalize Slayer and Talulah Gosh on the same mix!? BTW, I'm working on your collection of requests. Should be done soon. Goose!!
Hey, this looks fine by me, my friend. Send it on unless you think you've got something even more stunning up your sleeve.
This looks great.
I must tip my lid in your direction for putting Rocket From The Tombs on dere! Delicious...
Fine mix.
Cool concept & yeah, that NO funk's a killer. With additional versions by Devo, Residents & Blue Cheer you could keep on mixing.
Hey Jeff, sorry I've been behind on trades (and now have a computer issue that needs to be resolved before I can burn any discs). However, I'd still love a copy of this and will send your mix along soon. Try to e-mail me if you can.
