Comment:
for the lovely Lottie, who has been suffering her own version of existential ennui of late. this orignally started as cheerer upper of newish things i wanted to thrust upon her ears, but i decided to forsake that route for a more introspective angle [it's how i like them when i'm in that place, so...] . so the universal theme is one of questioning self-analysis, running the gamut from self-loathing to outright anger, obvious in the Unwound song [which starts out "journal entry number 20"] and perhaps no more better summed up than Mr. Lif on the first track: "depressed & uninspired, who are you? I, phantom". There's so much stuff on here in the upper echelon of my high esteem: the Aesop Rock + Saul Williams bit on the Blackalicious track I'm still marvelling at after 100 listens, to the old standbys of Jawbreaker & J Church. That and my favorite transition has got to be going from Yann Tiersen to death metal (Ludicra) in 3 songs without a hitch.Feedback:
i'm not as deep as you are though....
this is really awesome, lots and lots of great songs
Nice mix. I hope she cheers up!
now this is nice.
