Comment:

I've got an early morning flight to Boston, and then a drive to New Hampshire tomorrow, for a week of research training. I wanted to put together an in-flight summeresque cd of recent power pop stuff - stuff from the past few years, but that sounds as though it could be 35 years ago (or thereabout) - you know, bands with good record collections. Probably emphasizes the pop more than the power, but you find that in a lot of the current power pop bands - makes it hard to sit through an entire record. Still, this is one poppy little disc. A few cross-genre picks, but you don't mind that, do you? Have a good week, my little friends.

I know virtually none of this. Trusting your judgement implicitly though means that I want this. Have a good trip to NH.

Fantastic Sean boy! I'd really love to have this. Recognize the brilliance of about eight of these artists, but unfamiliar with the rest. Must hear!

This passed the in-flight test with flying colors. Thank you all for the comments - they've brightened up a (thus far) dull week.

I love the Redd Kross track and like the Pernice Bros. track... but as you know, my friend, this is the period of pop where you and I part company. Have fun up there...

Brilliant from ened-to-end! On my second listen as I type...., absolutely LOVE the Rockfour, Grip Weeds, and Lackloves...(the latter has the Mersey-sound down!)

Tip o' the helmet!

Just took another gander at this mix, which reminds me that I'd love a copy someday. I almost put that Datsons track on Whotenanny. BTW, has it and the two others arrived yet?
