In 1978, Gerry Rafferty exploded from his roots in folk-rock and pop with "Baker Street", a towering single that was huge on both sides of the Atlantic and featured [i]that[/i] sax — an iconic blast of brass from Raphael Ravenscroft that stands proud over a substantial wall of drums and guitar, and still rocks new listeners back on their heels. Either side of that superlative track, Rafferty gave us "Stuck in the Middle With You" (with Stealers Wheel) and the outstanding "Get It Right Next Time".
