Comment:
It took me awhile to get around to making this mix. I knew that I wanted to do a mix that reflected the emotions that I and most everyone else went through that day and the days that followed, so that's what I tried to do here. I finally sat down to make it earlier this year, and the song list came pretty easily. Of course, after I finished the cd, I realized that there were other songs that I could have put on and some I probably shouldn't have put on, but I think this is all right. A few of the songs are radio station creations with news reports mixed with the song. I usually don't care for these, but I figured I'd put a couple on to get the flavor of how that time period felt (the "New York Minute" one is actually pretty good). The title is a quote from "Hard to Imagine"...I was watching a news report from the dump where the wreckage from the WTC was taken and they mentioned that all you saw there were different shades of gray, so I thought this title would be appropriate.
