Comment:
Track numbers are mere gestures. Thanks to Muzag, who's stunning "Do You Marimba The Gamelans We Used To Play ?" mix put me in mind of Idjah Hadidjah.Feedback:
If it's as good as one and two, I'll have it! nice work again, curtis
looks amazing. achieves the increasingly rare quality of having nothing i've heard before but that i'd love to hear. we should trade. and i promise not take as long as i took on my last trade.
looks intresting as always, a lot unheard tracks here
sounds very interresting curtis. i like this off-beat style. your tape is on its way!
this looks great, Curtis. I am enjoying the hell out of vol. 4 this week, and this just put me in the mood to break it out on my way to work this morning.
Hey Bryan, special 2 for 1 sale to all fellow members of the cult of the WFMU ;-)
Looks lovely Curtis. Do I detect an influence from my 'Do you marimba...' here (I know you mentioned a 'mallet mix' on your todo list before)?Seems to be an awful lot of people hitting things to make music :)Excellent!
Hey Gary. Mea culpa, sorta. Listening to your mix put Idjah Hadidjah's haunting tune in my head which then led me through to of the other stuff on this mix (my thought process; Tonggeret -> Wayang No. II -> African Flower, etc.). And no this is not really my mallet mix, but I do love people hitting things ;-)
Wooly, wild, and wonnerful! Like the Sharrock....,and Mr. Glass.
Nice stuff, Curtis.
Ooooo! Just been back and seen you've updated the description to give me & my "Do You Marimba..." mix a nod.Thank you.
Makes up for the initial oversight I hope.
