Comment:

Once again, my anthology of mixes in which I don't get to choose the artists, as I use all the artists in my CD collection alphabetically. It's kind of a challenge meshing my more indie rock artists with the more mainstream ones. How am I supposed to follow up Lilys with Live, you know?! Or sandwiching Mazarin in-between two very poppy (though still talented) singer-songwriters. Or going from the country-western tinted Lift to Experience to the post-punk 80's chick rock of LiLiPUT... This experiment is trying on me! But nonetheless, it's helpful, as I try to get better at making solid transitions and maintaining a consistant tone despite widely varying sounds from each artist. So, it's a little bit fun too. Once again, feel free to let me know what artists are missing from my collection, judging on what artists I do collect. *************************************************(ARTISTS ADDED TO MY COLLECTION SINCE MAKING THIS MIX: June & the Exit Wounds, Chris Knox, Les Savy Fav, Linus of Hollywood, Loose Fur, The Lucksmiths, Lunchbox, Marbles, Marmoset, The Marshmallow Coast, Masters of the Hemisphere, Mates of State, Metropolitan, The Mooney Suzuki, Morrissey, The Motorhomes, My Bloody Valentine, My Vitriol.)

yeah, having to listen to live would be trying! some more nice stuff (except for live!) you don't seem to have any lucksmiths (indie pop from australia), and, as i mentioned before, you need some artists that recorded before '91! maybe starting with some byrds and left banke and go from there.

Ha ha, yeah, I tried to find the quietest Live song possible so that the listener could just tune it out. You're not the first person to point out Lucksmiths to me, I need to give them a listen. And yeah, maybe some stuff before 1991 too. I've been thinking of getting some Big Star like Ion Moe suggested, and I'm giving a listen to Left Banke right now. I'm a little familiar with those two bands already, as Elliott Smith has covered them both during concerts, ha ha. Covers, my only glimpse into the past til now.

Hey, I like Live! Well, I used to anyway. Don't listen to them much these days. Not sure what else you might want to put here... Jellyfish's first album? That's reaching a bit, eh? You might look into April March, she's a lot of fun.

How could I forget? Magnetic Fields' "69 Love Songs", all three volumes. If you don't have it, get it as soon as it's possible.
