Comment:

I signed up for this Sassy Sisterhood CD Swap where you were matched with three other women of similar music tastes and you swapped compilations featuring all women. It was fun to do, knowing that it was a chance to reveal new artists to complete strangers and then experiencing their new artists as well. I had to end with that particular Dar Williams song just because I live in Western New York (Jamestown actually.. which explains the 10,000 Maniacs song).

Looks good! Do you have to be a women to participate in the swap? I love bands featuring women, but I'm cursed with a penis.

I don't think I've seen Kylie Minogue on one of these girlie mixes. She's kind of a guilty pleasure, so I'm glad she's here.

I hope at least one party to your swap has included some Sleater-Kinney. And perhaps some Bettie Serveert. It's hard to see a mix like this and not think of that classic Onion story, "Lilith Fair Performers, Attendees Achieve Largest Ever Synchronized Ovulation." (http://www.theonion.com/onion3404/lilithfair.html)

No Sleater-Kinney in the two discs I received, but I have heard them before (benefits of being a DJ in college). And Sorry Ion Moe, it was an women-only thing ;-)
