Comment:

A little bumpy after the first track, and really bumpy in the last three tracks, this is what I get for making an anthology of mixes featuring all the artists in my CD collection in alphabetical order. Nonetheless, this is one that if I boiled it down a little more in order to actually fit it onto a CD, I think it'd be really great. Let me know what artists you think are missing from my collection based on the ones who are there. Only one more volume to go! *************************************************(ARTISTS ADDED TO MY COLLECTION SINCE MAKING THIS MIX: Radar Brothers, The Rain Parade, The Revelers, Rocketship, The Sea and Cake, The Sixth Great Lake, Sleater-Kinney, The Swirlies.)

One of my favorite Pumpkins b-sides! More cool stuff here. Interesting Radiohead choice. And I prefer early REM stuff as well. Replacements! You need something from the Replacements! Jonathan Richman! Social Distortion! And Solex! Oh, don't forget your Super Furry Animals!

Ok, Patrick, where's the Sonic Youth?

"S" is my favorite letter when it comes to bands. Like the Snow Patrol and Shins picks. I agree with Niquaidus, you gotta have some SFA and Replacements (try Let It Be -- no, not the Beatles album. Who are they again?). Other great "S" bands you might like? Stone Roses (need to have the debut), Superchunk, Stereolab, Shop Assistants (obscure, but a personal favorite), Sloan, the Smiths and the Shaggs (okay, maybe you could live without that one). Damn, I'm late for work!

The Replacements I've heard a little of, I didn't really go for it. Same goes for Stone Roses, Superchunk, Stereolab, Super Furry Animals and Sloan. Notthat I disliked any of the bands, it's just the music didn't inspire me to buy it. I'll definately look into all the other bands. I'm really interested in hearing the new Sonic Youth, now that Jim O'Rourke is a member, and I've been meaning to pick up on The Smiths for a long, long while.
