Comment:
Compilation made for some friends in the US, drawn from the first two studio albums, the odds-n-sods compilation "Half Alive", plus the live and demo bonus material from the recent CD issues of the studio albums. Tracks 1-4: from the 1974/75 home studio tapes. Tracks 5-8: from the first album, 1977. Tracks 9-10: live at CBGBs in 1978. Track 11: 1979 home studio recording. Remaining tracks from the second album, which I have indeed leant on rather heavily. I included live and studio versions of "Harlem"; the studio version is actually probably better, but the screaming on the live version was too priceless to leave off. No room for the immortal "23 Minutes Over Brussels", sadly, but the rest is, I think, good stuff.Feedback:
Super cool!
i'm not sure that Otis would've that, but still great tracks
Very nice, James. Please toss this on the pile.
Real good stuff.
