Comment:
A friend from my local pub recently unearthed an old mix I'd made for the bar and brought it back into rotation to much acclaim. Since that old track list was embarassing, to say the least, I decided it was time to whip out a new mix for the place. Catchy tunes are the rule, but I'm also going for stuff that most of the regulars are unlikely to have heard. A few tunes are directed at individuals (there's a small posse who *hate* "Mass Pike"), some are aimed at the broader audience (it's an Irish pub, hence the Waterboys/Pogues/"Thatcher" run). And as tradition dictates, I've ended it with a few gag tracks. (Title from "Mass Pike.")
Feedback:
Looks good and I love the Thorogood track!
Excellent. I think "Debra" would make a really good opener or closer.
Great jellyfish, dcfc and pulp choices... A good friend of mine is in that elvis video (he would be the poncey one in the black suit)...
My favorite Pogues song, one of the best Beck tunes, my favorite Get Up Kids song (by far, as it's the only one I really like anymore), and one of the best Lambchop tunes. Nice job.
