Comment:
I made this mix for my friends and me to listen to in our limo on the way to and from our Senior Prom. Most of the songs have something to do with proms or dancing or the end of school or love or lack of love. Um, I guess most songs in the world have to do with those topics, but I couldn't fit most songs in the world on this CD, so I had to make do with these 22. Some of it is ridiculously pop (Savage Garden and LFO? On the same CD? Right NEXT TO EACH OTHER?), but proms in and of themselves are kind of ridiculously pop, so it works.Feedback:
Uh, The Clash didn't do "What I Like About You", the Romantics did. You'd better change those credits! :) Nice playlist, though.
This sounds like fun. Proms *are* ridiculously pop. I wanted to shoot the damn DJ at mine.
Yeah, the Romantics DID do "What I Like About You." Good point. I just blindly copied the mp3's label, but you can't really trust those damn mp3s. I have one that claims that the Beach Boys sang "Stop (In the Name of Love)." Funny, it always sounded like a woman to me...
The Beach Boys covering Stop! In The Name of Love would sound great though. Best stuff here is the ridiculous pop- Jackson, Kim Wilde, whoa-oh!
absolutely, more proms need to feature soundtracks that come from someone calling them "Teenage Wasteland". and then, of course, still ready to party their socks off. and most songs in the world i'm sure still don't meet your spontaneous automatic selection procedure for this mix. which means of course that they must be inferior.
