I'm currently completeing my high school finals, and part of the criteria for drama is a group performance, completely self devised, roughly 8-12 minutes in length. We wanted a comedic piece, and what could be funnier than the 80's? Somewhere along the way, we came up with the following synopsis: four bogan girls in the ladies' room at their year 12 formal find a formal dress in a toilet cubicle - which is covered in blood. One of our earlier ideas was a 10 minute murder mystery, so we just applied that idea to the 80's one. We work in weird ways. Anyway, for a university I want to apply to, I have to submit two scripts for film/television, and I'm considering writing a pilot based on the characters. Then I came up with this soundtrack (we actually used the songs 'blue monday' and 'always on my mind' in our 10 minute piece) in hopes of inspiration. It's SO bad.. but that's why it's so great.
