Comment:

A quasi-children's tape. For unusual children. And for Scott.

I would listen to this if I were a child! although Weezer's 'the good life'? that may be sending the wrong message. hehe!

rancid and belle and seb and dylan? yeah, every child should be exposed to this, early and often. love that tmbg track too, though most of their stuff could fit without too much trouble on a children's record (despite their sometimes frighteningly dark lyrics).

Maybe we should make kids listen to mixes like these instead of reading to them. Okay, maybe not, but maybe a healthy combination of both would improve the future of the world.

My daughter loves Dr Seuss - as well as most of the music I listen to . The other day, she requested to hear the "bob the builder" cd, but I said I couldn't deal with that, so she suggested Belle & Sebastian's "sinister" album instead - I could deal with that...

This is great! I would definitely play this to my kids. I already have big plans about the music I'm going to expose my children to - believe me, I plan to introduce them to The Smiths while they're still eating pureed vegetables.
