Comment:
This was for my best friend, who's just starting at NYU...Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue is one of my favorite pieces of music, and it has always reminded me of the city, especially after seeing Fantasia 2000. So I decided to intersperse sections of it with some of my favorite songs about NYC... this is what came out. Note the stupid titles I gave each section (see cover art).
Rod MacDonald is an excellent singer/songwriter who should decidedly be checked out by all.
The tune from "The Muppets Take Manhattan" was a hidden track, which I could not resist including.

Feedback:
Love the mix. The arch on the cover suggests Washington Square Park, but it looks like London to me. Of course, Wash. Sq. makes me think of "Diamonds & Rust" (and the David Lee Roth bust!), but that's another story. Cute pidgeons, too. Tell your friend to check out The Lawn Darts and Imposter Syndrome when they play in the city. The drummer's name is Ross ;-)
wow i wish one of MY friends made this for me before i went off to NYU!! this will be a great soundtrack to life in the city... =)

Oh wow, this looks gorgeous. I love Gershwin, to a degree just teetering on obsession. Anyway, lovely job indeed.
