Comment:

Dedicated to teapin, who started the ball rolling by including "(Make Me A) Feelin' Man" on one of his better mixes. Before that, I'd always thought the Make-Up/Make Up were a Jon Spencer rip-off (and I'm much more a fan of the Neil Hagerty half of Pussy Galore). Man, was I wrong... these folks have recently become one of my most-listened-to bands. I hope I'm still saying that in a year... Since I'm fairly new to these folks, is there someone out there who can tell me where the following songs fall in their discography: "Untouchable Sound", "I Didn't Mean 2 Turn U On", "Born on the Floor", "Little Black Book" (I know the last two were on the same seven-inch), "Hey! Orpheus", "Grey Motorcycle" and "I Want Some". After checking every discography that I could find on-line to no avail, I put them where I thought they might fit by the sounds of them, but I could be wrong.

Interesting stuff Rob, though I have to admit that know nothing about this band at all. Chuck it in the pile please.

A really great band that had an even better live show...I think you're right about the order...

Jon Spencer isn't fit to lick Ian Sevonius' nutsack when Ian teabags him. Any plans for a Nation of Ulysseys mix (or did you already do it?)

good lord, how did i miss this? much fun to be had here. i'm a little surprised that "international airport" or "evidence is everywhere" or, what's it called? "we're having a baby" didn't make the cut, but those may have been some of the songs that led you believe in a JSBX correllation. i dunno. either way, this still looks great. killer first and last tracks, especially. not to mention "grey motorcycle"! okay, i'll shut up now.

Those are both fabulous

I like the Weird War album a lot, Laura. I'll have to send you my 2002 "best-of" list...
