This mix really means a lot to me. I first got the idea for it when me and my girlfriend, (well, ex-girlfriend now) were watching the delightfully catastophic "Meet the Parents." I believe it was the loving application of handles from the cinema classic, "Top Gun," brought me to say to her, "We should do something like that in our own lives, you know, attach nick names to people. People we like." At first she seemed fairly averse to the idea - for, I admit, it is a rather preposterous one - but then she smiled a knowing smile and said, "Alright, we should turn it into a game of sorts," to which I replied, "Honey, you read my mind," even though she didn't *actually* read my mind, I'm sure, just thought of the same thing at the same time, however, this did grant me the opportunity to begin the first step of the game. I dubbed her: The Mysteriously Maniacal Mind-Reading Mastermind. She found it less than flatering. Soon we had names for everyone! Him over there? -oh that's Ichabod. Hello Stalin, how are you this morning? Why, Jedi Master Siddharta, how nice to see you! How is Margoret (we couldn't come up with a name for Margoret)? And so on and so forth. When she finally broke up with me soem two days later, on the day that would have marked our one month anniversary of joy and happiness, I amended her earlier name, calling her now, "The Heartless Wench Who Never Knew How to be Thankful for Anything, Even When I Bought Her That Pepsi," which I still refer to her as, today. I hope this sheds some light on the subject!
