Comment:

I'm settling into the apartment. this is disc 2 of a set i'm gonna give to friends when i head back home one weekend. until then, i'm keeping the disc warm.
also...I've been thinking about this recently... how come bands don't call out to each other on record anymore? Like on 'Soul Man' when they call out to Steve Cropper, or on "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight", when Tommy calls out to Bobby. Is it ProTools' fault? Musicians without senses of fun? The disintegration of baseball as a viable American pastime? anyway.

I think bands stopped with the 'shout-outs' because if they do it to much, their liner notes would be filled with "(other label's artist soandso) appears courtesy of (major label name here)." But personally, I'd like to blame fascism and a proliferation of Texans and rednecks as presidents as of late.
