Comment:
Remember Diddy's old buddy Mase — "Been Around the World," "Feels So Good," etc.? Sure you do, although no one expected the rapper to break his retirement in 2004, playing the role of "a Bad Boy gone clean" according to Welcome Back's sun-baked title track. Of course, if you prefer hardcore hip-hop, 2004 kept the realer-than-real MCs coming, from the solo debut of a recent G-Unit recruit (Young Buck, a perfect match for Lil Jon's funky fresh production on "Shorty Wanna Ride") to the skyrocketing profile of T.I. on his sophomore album, Trap Muzik, which features some sneaky organ melodies on the David Banner-backed "Rubber Band Man."
