If the twinkling Atari tones of "Ayo Technology" sound oddly familiar, it might be because they're similar to the electro-rock effects of a certain Crystal Castles single ("Courtship Dating"). Whether Timbaland borrowed his Y3K beats from the underground Canadian duo or not doesn't really matter; what matters is just how ahead of the curve our Deep Cuts are, including the intoxicated keys of "Same Girl," the sneaky De La Soul samples of "B.U.D.D.Y.," the music box melodies of "Baby Don't Go," and the chunky cowbell loops of "Like This," one of Kelly Rowland's last singles before accepting a co-host position at [i]The Fashion Show[/i].
