My friend Ken and I were talking about the very first record one might play to christen a new stereo. I said, without hesitation, Screamin' Jay's 'I Put a Spell on You.' Ken agreed, but admitted he didn't have the tune. I immediately offered a Screamin' Jay tape, but he suggested I mix it up a bit. So here's a heapin' helping of Screamin' Jay -- and a bunch of guys who deserve to be on the same tape as him. How's that for a twisted criterion?
