imation cd-r [80] [ah, nostalgia flashes its warm 'n' fuzzy, linus-blanketed face. many moons and junes ago -- in brighter, blonder, teenaged days -- the cars were my faves. "heartbeat city" (on vinyl) was the first album i ever purchased. i remember when "shake it up" was duking it on radio with billy squier's "the stroke" and the theme from "chariots of fire." as for the "dancing asthmatic" business -- i remember hearing "it's not the night" one hot, hellish, heavy-flow, summer eve when my allergies-induced asthma compelled me to breathe with a wheeze. alas, i did no dancing -- not then, not now, not ever; i guess i just get a kick-in-the-ass blast out of assonance... and the past.]
