eeeewww! two covers on one mix tape? i feel the need to explain myself. the cat power cover happens to be one of the greatest cover songs ever recorded. so many people have covered satisfaction (by the stones for all of you stupid people out there) but no one has ever thought of making it a soft, slow, sad ballad. it is amazing. i like the get up kids cover because "close to me" is an amazing song except for the annoying-as-all-hell saxophone solo in the middle (oh, dear robert smith, what were you thinking?). the get up kids version leaves out the solo (thank the lord almighty) but i would much rather hear smith's voice than the snotty guy from the get up kids.
