Comment:

Okay, now this mix is ready to actually go to disc... I have re-arranged some songs, replaced the Death Cab song, removed the Brian Jonestown Massacre and that dog picks and added The Sea and Cake. Still slightly unsure about the Dismember Plan and Shins song, and maybe want a Kingsbury Manx pick, but at least now it's under 80 minutes, and the flow is great. This album is all about leaving a lover and then leaving your whole life behind. I broke up with a girlfriend and half a year later I left for LA, leaving everything and everyone behind back in Norfolk, VA. And this is as close to the tension and sadness as I've been able to put together in a mix. I would love to send this to my ex-girlfriend, but I get the feeling she doesn't want to hear from me.

Love that track by Jim O'Rourke which you've used a snippet of to name this mix. Death Cab have been one of my "favourite bands" since We Have the Facts...came out; deadly Spoon song too. It ends on a rocking-schizo note ala Isaac Brock. Very nice mix.
