Comment:
This mix is basically a concept I had, which was kinda rooted in the whole comic book idea, "what if this character and this character teamed up against these guys?" and your friend will explain that because of one of the superhero's powers, that the other team does not stand a chance and everyone is getting their ass kicked. This CD uses a battle of the sexes format with two female artists or fronted bands against two male artists or fronted bands. I needed something to keep my mind off of the Steelers loss to the Patriots Monday night and this mix kept me busy.
Feedback:
no whay! bjork is a freaky bitch and would kick much ass. But these little pictures are dope yo.
lo. thanks. i was not saying that the title is my personal opinion it was just an idea. the new bowie though seems like he would have no problems handin out a beat down.
i say kathleen hanna could take em all on by her self. ambitious mix. cool idea. looks like it would be really fun to listen to.
yeah i think kathleen could take em all on and her music rocks as well. had a chance to see le tigre live about 3 weeks ago and it was a fun experience.
great concept. i would enjoy seeing this performed in rap-battle style. live show and all. would be quite fun. the "match to watch" would definitely be the radiohead/bowie vs bjork/harvey. the rest just seem to be filler. i think bjork would come out on top though. great mix all around.
This *is* a cool concept. I'd love to see The Strokes/Lou Reed up against Janis Joplin/the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I think it'd be a battle of who was less drunk. Anyway, cool mix.
This is really, very cool Peter. Lotsa great tracks. (PJ kicks everyone's ass by the way.)
gracias for the kind comments. i tried to match artists with styles that resembled each other and are somewhat similar.
wicked mix! love the cover!
You know you rule. Do I really need to reiterate that? This is just stellar. I'm putting my money on Bowie to take out Bjork and I think Thom's freaky electrocuted monkey dance will wipe out PJ accidentally. But I'm sensing a draw between Joseph Arthur and Pina. Don't ask me how. ;)
PJ would kick anyone's ass!
what a cool fucking mix.
pj harvey would win though...though bj÷rk can be pretty tough... =)

This is a wicked mix, and an even wickeder cover. Congrats.
again, gracias! man everyone seems to think that PJ Harvey and Bjork are like the toughest musicians around! lol. When I made this mix I was thinking more in the terms of a battle of the bands type deal not actually physical fighting but that idea does seem intriguing also. How come nobody has placed their money on Rufus Wainwright?
Great job man. This is some great fucking music. The Rufus track is brilliant.
thank you tyler! you are not your fucking khakis! lol. i love that rufus song too.
fuck. this is good. I'm speechless! I know fuck isn't a very good work to use, but I meant it in the *best* possible way. errr. this is just too nice.
