Comment:

Lester Bangs died twenty years ago last April & I've been kicking this mix around since then. Not really a tribute, but an attempt at a soundtrack for an imaginary R&R bio-pic.

This mix is oscar-worthy! Does the zz top song have the re-recorded 80's drum sound?

Nice mix. A friend of mine recently did his one man show based on Lester Bangs at this funky off-beat theatre company he is part of and had me spin tunes for the post party billing it as Lester Bangs Record Collection and I see many of the same tracks you used I played.

Fantastic. I knew this was a Lester tribute as soon as I saw the first track - I finally got around to reading "Let It Blurt" and am now half way through "Psychotic Reactions and Carburator Dung".

Great idea. But who will play Lester in the film?

Casting is always tricky. Put me in for a role as an extra to add to my increasing film appearance resume.

'nother nice one. Definitely renders Lester in stereo & 3D. A friend and I both went as red-headed Lesters a couple halloweens ago. Looked more like Phillip Seymour-Hoffman's version of Lester, but if yer lookin' for twins to play him (a la Olsen twins), we're available.
