Comment:
Big props to The Misfit for sending his mix The Town I Live In to me. I used eight songs off that mix 'cause they were so good. I made this mix for a friend who needs a little soul in his life. I wanted to tread in the soul/funk end of the pool a little bit to hook him on the tunes. The artist The Inner Thumb is actually a pseudo name for DJ Me DJ You (I think). It is from the soundtrack to the fake motion picture Soul Ecstasy from the record label Emperor Norton Records. Soul, R&B, Funk, Jazz, Blues... The lines can blur sometimes, and they might get hazy on this mix, but it glows.Feedback:
mighty stuff! great mix.
Ah, the real R&B, none of this modern "urban" pap taking the name of R&B in vain. (I make an exception for Lauryn Hill, naturally.)
I missed this the first time around. Thanks for the compliment! This looks great, and that's my very favorite Lauryn Hill song!
