Comment:

It's one hell of a voice, sure. It's a rafter-rattling guitar, no doubt. But what really unites the rock giants that have emerged in Pearl Jam's wake is a sound that grabs the head, the heart — and other places — and simply doesn't let go. With "My Sacrifice," Creed turns the arena into a revival tent, baptizing the faithful in five minutes of maximum rock 'n' roll. Speaking of arenas, maybe no band at the moment knows how to fill 'em like Kings of Leon, who with "Use Somebody" complete their transformation from buzz band to godhead. And if you think P.J.'s influence stopped there, or even slowed down, well, it got even darker courtesy of hard-hitting chart-toppers Breaking Benjamin, whose "The Diary of Jane" is, simply put, modern rock at its most dangerous. But don't stop there; from Matchbox Twenty to Third Eye Blind, from Nickelback to the Strokes, we've got Pearl Jam's legacy laid out for your listening pleasure.
