imation cd-r [80] [merely to undertake a beatles "best-of" set is to dance with the devil; spew spit-wads at the gods; commune with cliche. recently, it occurred to me that i had never truly immersed myself in their complete catalogue, and that there were entire albums (the "white" one, for example) of which i knew almost nothing. thus, i immersed myself; doggy-paddled; dead-man floated. eventually, i waded ashore with favorites in tow: "abbey road" & "rubber soul" -- and a whole passel of songs that just plain pleased, pleased me. these are them.]
