Seeking to spice up my travels, a mix was set in motion with no plan of attack resulting in this. TRIVIA TIME: There are three covers on this mix. Name 'em.

Actually Mancini has a composition of that name and while they share a name the Dream Syndicate selection is an original.

Crakin' Up is an original Moe Tucker tune. Soul Struttin, while it was written by Tony Orlando!!, it was originated by the bubblegum group 1910 Fruitgum. The song was later covered by The Fleshtones as well.

Real Cool Time is indeed a cover of The Stooges (performed on acoustic guitar. I Feel Fine is not a Beatles cover,it is a different tune with the same name. Kim the Waitress is not a cover. Material Issue did a cover of the Green Pajamas song.

I believe that Neanderthal Man is a cover of the same by Hot Legs which was a band that was a precursor to 10cc. It was released in 1970.

Yes, Neanderthal Man is the cover of Hotlegs(the precursor to 10cc). Both Elton John and Idle Race(Pre-Move/ELO Jeff Lynn) did a version of this song as well.

Shit. I missed getting the trivia question! :-) Nice Green Pajamas pick... I love that song. And nice nod to Pittsburgh's own Karl Hendricks Trio's very cool "Declare Your Weapons" LP on your cover(drawn by Pittsburgh's own Wayno).

Looks great Tom! Think of me as the last player from the dugout to jump onto the dogpile after a game seven victory.

A nod to Rob for knowing the great Wayno and where I nicked the cover from.

I think and I am not certain tehat the Ohio Express and 1910 versions were concurrent. Of course odds are they are the exact same song with the same musicians as the folks behind teh Kasenetz-Katz sounds were known to do such things.
