Comment:
I started this by thinking about uplifting, well-orchestrated British songs that I've listened to in the past during similar situations (Verve, Shack, Oasis). Then I encorporated some goofy, fun tracks (Minders, Super Furry Animals, Pavement) and a few direct, "I feel better now that you're gone" songs (Pernice Brothers, Avalanches). The Velvet Underground song pretty much sums up the healing power of music, and "The Great Beyond" by R.E.M. simply sounds celebratory. And what better song to end with than The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again"? Rest in peace John Entwhistle.Feedback:
