Comment:

Yesterday, after working a 7 hour shift at a movie theater, I decided to go hang out with friends. I ended up getting home at 4am. I noticed that when you're alone, and dawn is creeping through your bedroom window there are two feelings: introspection and exahustion. These songs play off both vibes, at least they do to me. "Kurt Vonnegut Writing Short Stories at a New Hampshire Bed and Breakfast" came to me from the Rainer Maria song "Breakfast of Champions" which is a Vonnegut book. Don't ask me what it all means, because I don't know.

My uncle wrote a tepid screenplay called "Breakfast of Champions", and that fascist Kurt Vonnegut made it known via legal channels that it wasn't allowed. It was just as well, I guess. No hard feelings.

I'm sure your uncle didn't have Nick Nolte or Bruce Willis pulling strings to turn the book into a major motion picture. But condolences to the fruitless end of his labor.
