Comment:

Matt Cook wanted a random mix for one of the many trades we're doing. I don't even know when I'll be able to get around to *making* this tape, but I thought I'd post it anyway. just for fun. I decided to pick songs I'd never used on any mixes before. the title is from the first song. I sort of followed the format of Matt's first submission; throw in some obscure tunes in with some obvious and/or commercial ones (i.e., radiohead, the clash, garbage) :) there ya go! enjoy!

CRAP! Pure, unadulterated CRAP! *blink* Just kidding! I know so very little on this mix, so I instantly love it. I can't wait to hear all this stuff I've never heard before! And of course there's the fact that you included the MGB - one of my favourite bands! Can't beat that. I better get this sooner than later!

the magnetic fields tune... would this be a cover? as in, oh i wonder wonder who-o-o-o... who wrote the book of love? cuz thats a damn fine tune. and the magfields are a damn fine band. so it'd be like an onslaught on goodness.

It's funny getting compliments for songs that aren't actually in my collection...heh. Joe Gillis is responsible for providing the Paloalto tune, and a dear friend Scott is responsible for the Magnetic Fields one. :) and I must thank Jenn, Zach, Emily, Charles, Jer, Ron, and Shawn Porter for providing the rest of these tracks. this tape truly has no theme whatsoever. hehe.
