for my dad, who claims he doesn't like the beatles earliest stuff and latest stuff. my claim is that he just never listened to it. he was not familiar with almost any of the songs in i am sam. said his least favourite albums were revolver and the white album. this mix is to see if his mind can be changed. (i put a couple of his favs, so he wouldn't be scared away: nowhere man, strawberry fields, eleanor rigby).

he likes almost every tune on help, so i didn't bother including yesterday, help, ticket to ride... etc. i put 2 of MY personal favs that were kinda different from the rest of the beatles other stuff. you're gonna lose sounds like their supra-early stuff, and you've got to hide is just beautiful. not to say yesterday isn't. i just much prefer others.

yes those 3 bands are quite fantastic, along with the who and the pixies which make up six of my all-time favourites. you can't knock the beatles. that's just ignorant.

To bash the Beatles is to insult and negate every pop song written after them---because, let's face it--every post-Beatles songwriter in the world is pretty much just copying them. As a side note, Paul McCartney is in Raleigh tonight...anyone want to loan me $250.00? Please?

anybody who puts "boys," "blackbird," and "things we said today" on a beatles tape is awesome. AWESOME, i say. very good job. i did this with my dad last year..
