i always thought old mellencamp didn't quite get the respect he deserves... i'm one of those who doesn't think as highly of himas some of his peers, viz springsteen or petty, but still... looking among this tracklist you can see that the man has, at the very least, a penchant for writing good songs... i like "what if i came knockin'" and "human wheels" from his later era.

mellencamp is amazing. the whole dance naked album,especially "brothers" is written very well. i can listen to the entire mr. happy go lucky album all the way through which is very rare these days. good mix

really good stuff...Mellencamp is so poorly thought of for the most part (by the music snobs of the world)it's a bit of a joke.
