Comment:
In Basics, we heard from some stars-in-training, in Next Steps the superstars made their voices heard, and in Deep Cuts we'll dig into a little of both, including a guy whose "overnight success" was over a decade in the making. As America dragged its weary economy out of the biggest recession in nearly a century, you could count on a little push back from Main Street, U.S.A., and John Rich pipes up on behalf of the little guy in the vox populism of "Shuttin' Detroit Down." In the "The More Things Change, The More They Stay The Same" department, fans of Montgomery Gentry's 2002 hit "My Town" will find a lot to like in Jason Michael Carroll's celebration of small-town down-home goodness, "Where I'm From." And while it took Jack Ingram 13 years of recording and touring to crack the country Top 40, he's not leaving it any time soon, rockin' a Telecaster as he and his best gal-pal gets "Barefoot and Crazy."
