Founded in the early-'90s in Marietta, Georgia, Third Day rests its reputation on twin pillars: a strong base of faith and unshakeable roots in honest-to-goodness rock 'n' roll . . . which makes the band a force to be reckoned with. Our overview of their career to date takes in the breakout track "Consuming Fire" (which brought attention and a Billboard award for its video in 1996), the Southern-flavored rock-out of 1999's [i]Time[/i] — notably "What Good" — and the band's concerted attempt to push a mainstream crossover agenda, [i]Wire[/i] (2004), which features the hard-hitting "Come On Back to Me."
