Comment:
3. Here is where I try to bring myself up to the present. Important factors to note here include a cross-country move from Texas to Massachusetts, access to a wider variety of college radio and local, independent record stores, the acquisition of a CD burner, a subscription to an mp3 service, and of course finding the AOTM community. And yes, I'll admit that I had bought only within the last few months The Clash (UK Version) as well as some CDs of the Ramones. But like they say its not always when you get there but that you get there.
I will also admit to playing around with the biographical chronology on the last 4 tracks of this volume. I wanted some sense of closure and retrospection so I could stop obsessing over these mixes and move on. I think this is my favorite of all three because it combines more old and new stuff while finally gets around to including some past favorites such as Tom Waits along with some rarities (for me anyways) that I chanced upon during this age of digital downloads. I'm done talking now, stick a fork in me.
