Tribute to the great Eric Goulden. I don't think anyone ever inspired me more to write songs - not that I ever got any good at it. This comp represents Eric at his earliest Stiff days, through the various comebacks and collaborations (Clay Harper). I'll probably add more to this (and lose one or two tracks) if those cursed imports ever arrive. I'll go out on a limb here - I think his best stuff easily rates up there with Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe, except that Eric had a better sense of humor. All songwriters could learn a thing or three from Wreckless Eric. Dig it.
