In the year of teen pop and bad southern rap it is easy to write off 99 as a non-year for music, but further examination proves that 99 was a better year for interesting music than any since 95 at least. this tape is sort of a research paper proving that 99 wasn't that bad...you just had to know where to look. the only song on here that i have to defend is Buckcherry's "Lit Up" because I'm sure most people are thinking, "oh God they're such a sleazy bar band." and that is exactly why i like them. they aren't orginal or even very talented, but they do rock. and that songs rocks most of all in a year full of bullshit Nookies and Scrubs.
