Comment:

I was asked to make a Halloween mix for a grade school kid party. This was the demo version, most of which has been vetoed. Guess I'll have to replace Roky & Lux with kid faves Bobby "Boris" Pickett & Sheb Wooley. Full size candy bars go out to Eric Schmuckler for the Lord Sutch opener, Jeff Carlock for Penn Gillette & Sean Lally for the Moontrekkers & original Goo Goo Muck.

The thumbs down had to do with content inappropriate for first graders. Apparently, some parents have a problem with songs about poison being your fave drink or following vampire girls to hell.

I have to say, I've been looking at your other mixes, and I don't know where the hell I was to have missed all of these kick ass collections. Very good work.

Good god, another awesome Halloween mix! I won't be throwing any eggs at your house this year, unless you don't save me a copy of this mix. As for it being deemed inappropriate, I'm not too surprised. I mean, some of the tunes are pretty grizzly - "I'm a night head hunter looking for a head". Uh, that's pretty rough for the average 6-year old, I'd wager. So Jim, what are your thoughts on the Screaming Lord? I don't know much about him, but I have a friend who swears he's a genius. (By the way, I want to be known as "Screaming Lord Lally" from now on, ok? Or maybe Link Lally. Better change my profile - if you see a mix come up under either of these pseudonyms, you'll know it's me.)

A great mix. probably vetoed by the same people who didn't want us "corrupted" by the Beatles, Pistols etc etc. Great Roky, Ramones & Sonics cuts.

Maybe too strong for first graders,
but just right for us big kids in the 2nd grade! Like everyone else, I'd love to trade you for this if you haven't already burnt out your CD drive making copies.

Amazing mix Jim. I'm sure most of these first graders are exposed to far more violence and mayhem on their Saturday morning cartoons.
