Comment:
Yup, Mike Douglas is the old talk show host. No, the tape doesn't have anything to do with the man; I just named it on a whim. Many faves here but the Big Deal of the Day is always the Pink Floyd song, possibly my favorite tune of all time. I'm grateful for the input of every AOTMer on my mixes, and am constantly surprised by the variety of readers who chime in. I'm glad you found something to like.Feedback:
Nice Nirvana, Foos and STP picks, and that Cars cover is quite fab too.
This is good. Very good Crow, Sweet and Abba picks. But can you really resist "Shine on you crazy diamond" as a side one, track one? I don't think so. Some eight to ten minutes before the singing starts, this song is so good. Anyway "Time" is great song as well.
Funny, a bunch of us at work were talking about Schoolhouse Rock over lunch yesterday, and I pointed out my view that "Little Twelvetoes" was a psychedelic masterpiece, drawing multiple stares of disdain. Thanks for bearing me out.
Nice mix. I met Mike Douglas a few years ago. He seemed like a genuinely nice guy. He'd probably like this mix too.
