It's one thing when a band like the Flaming Lips have one hit...when it happens by accident to a band that creates truly interesting music that is not for the mainstream...but it's a crime when a band like Semisonic only get one hit, given Dan Wilson's knack for writing excellent pop songs. I heard the band is on hiatus while Wilson records a solo disc. I hope it's more akin to Semisonic's firt two, rather then the overproduced "Chemistry".Feedback:

I'm a big Semisonic fan, but I personally dislike this mix of their music. You just have a ttendancy to like the songs I don't, like "Secret Smile" and "Bed." In fact, I dislike most of the new album, although songs like "She's Got My Number" and "El Matador" (which isn't included here) are good. And many of my favorites, "DND" and "California" and "Across the Great Divide" and "No One Else" are not present. Also, I'm in love with a rare track, Dan Wilson's "Rising." Try to seek that out.
I'm always happy to see a Minnesota band getting some play here. I like this quite a bit.
