Comment:

A tribute to some of my favorite cartoons and animated moments. Originally conceived as a tribute to Warner Brothers cartoons, but this was too limiting (and not so much fun), so I mixed up the Carl Stalling stuff with some other favorite sounds. The Robert Klein bit is a spoken word thing about the "Our Gang" comedies. Given the recent death in the "Our Gang" family, I thought this might be appropriate - even though the show wasn't a cartoon, it's a great childhood memory. There's a whole lot more that could be added to this, so I'm throwing down the gauntlet for the next mix of this type.... any takers? By the way, "Powerhouse" is so great that at LEAST two versions are necessary. OK kids, here come the Car-toons!

"the ring came off my pudding can...take my penknife, my good man !" I love that song. For other volumes, may I suggest Johnny Quest theme song? Great tune, also redone by rev. horton heat a few years back. Also, the theme to "The Tick" was pretty good. I miss that cartoon...

great work Sean. I loved your earlier "my stupid youth" mix, and I think this would be a great companion piece to that. Lots of US stuff here which would be unknown to me, but I still bet it's great fun!
